Classroom Discipline Plan
Dear Parents,
I have one rule in my classroom and that is “Show Respect”. We will be discussing as a class what it means to respect yourself, others, and your school. If we follow this one rule, I do not anticipate any problems this year. However, in the event a particular behavior becomes disruptive to our classroom learning environment, the following procedures will be followed:
1. Warning to student
2. Student/teacher conference( student may fill out a think sheet)
3. Parent notification via Behavior Reflection sheet( which will be utilized throughout the school, including specials)
4. Parent/teacher/student(if necessary) conference
5. Office referral
In the rare instance where a behavior is immediately harmful to a student or his/her peers, an immediate office referral will occur.
We will also be using a positive reinforcement system schoolwide this year. Whenever any adult in the building sees a student being respectful, responsible, safe, or being a problem solver, they can earn “leader loot”. Students will have an opportunity to turn in their “Leader Loot” for non-tangible rewards in the classroom and/or save them for unique school-wide events that will happen 5 times a year. Students are responsible for keeping up with his/her own “Leader Loot”. Students will be asked to put their name and teacher’s name on the back of their “Leader Loot”.
If you ever have any questions or concerns, please let me know
Sincerely,
Wendy Sparrow
